60th Birthday

Anna's brother Les visited North Carolina so we could all celebrate his milestone birthday.  Oma and Opa treated us: dinner at the Fearrington House Restaurant. The food and service were world class!

Sunday Morning Skeet Shooting

Anna and Myron had their 2nd skeet shooting coaching session.  Some clays were shattered.  For the first time "doubles" were attempted.

Henri Rosano's 90th Birthday

Myron flew up to New Jersey for the day to attend his Ph.D. mentor's 90th birthday party.  Myron and Henri have been friends for more than 50 years.  The professor is still hale and hardy!  Henri's wife Chantal and the three Rosano daughters were there, as well as some of Henri's other former Ph.D. students.

Annual Dixie Deer Classic

We went to the show for deer hunters because the fellow who makes custom-molded ear plugs was an exhibitor.  Quite a scene!  We never saw so much camo. Ever.  The pix include

the cool boots Anna liked; and the one of Anna bravely petting a snake.  However we deliberately left out the millions of hunting bow (and billions of bird call) exhibitors.

Springtime in Durham, NC

Anna and I went for a walk around our local lake and heard croaking frogs and saw crocuses and daffodils blooming.

Friday Night Dinner at Our House

Anna's genius: veal tenderloin with shallots, garlic, mushrooms and wine sauce. With garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli...and a nice bottle of Pinot Noir.

Sunday Adventure

This morning, after an Insanity workout, we went for an archery lesson.  Then we ate lunch and went to the American Tobacco Trail to explore the new overpass going over the interstate.  We call the overpass the forever overpass (it's taking forever to finish and probably costing millions!).
