Spring Day In Durham

Spent all day walking in the sunshine. Took photos at the American Tobacco campus and Duke Gardens. The American Tobacco campus was very quiet and we simply enjoyed walking around and sitting in the warming sun by the sluices.

We were married in Duke Gardens on just such a day but in October. Spring has certainly come and tulips, apple and pear, some iris, daffodils and young shoots of various types cast demure color across the gardens. An Easter Egg hunt was in progress and little children carrying baskets were intent on finding them.

A stop at Guglhupf, a local Durham German pastry and eatery, for something light to eat at 2:45 and then home to relax on the front porch in glorious sunshine watching the neighbor children play. We finished the day off with glasses of wine on outside. The birds were singing, the chimes were gently ringing and the sun set slowly as we headed in for dinner.

Days like this are absolutely delightful.
Happy Easter Everyone!
Tomorrow we enjoy dinner with Oma and Opa!

Nobody but us in OBX

We spent the weekend at OBX. It was sunny but cooler than usual. No one was there. The beach was ours! It was strange to look both north and south and see no one; but it was also quite wild and the barren landscape made us feel fragile. The ocean was calm, clear and the breaking waves and stirring wind were the only sounds. The sand was cleansed by the wind, surf and sun. Scattered shells dusted the ripples.
The Outer Banks are truly on the outer edges of civilized land when the vacationers have yet to arrive. It is our special place... a sanctuary for sure.

Guinness in Raleigh

My dear friends Lynne and Jim  DePaolo's daughter, Cindy DePaolo Kimball, was visiting friends here in Raleigh and of course we joined her at the parade! I couldn't resist draping myself on the Lamborghini!
Drinking Guinness on a beautiful day in Raleigh is my idea of a great Saturday.

St. Patty's Day in Raleigh

Had a great time at the St. Patty's Day parade in Raleigh. Enjoyed visiting with Cindy DePaolo Kimball and her friends.  Drank too much Guinness, but it was so good!!!
The parade was certainly interesting and the 2nd largest in the Southeast... Savannah, Georgia holds the number 1 spot.
Enjoy the pictures.

We know how deep we dive and how much air we have left! Good information!  We also have custom mouthpieces and swivel connectors.... all for comfort and reduced jaw fatigue.. We are ready for the depths and the sharks!
