OBX Weekend

We headed to OBX this weekend for 2 reasons: 1 because it was to be in the 80's and sunny and 2 because we had the carpets professionally cleaned for the rental season. We drove to the beach on Thursday after work and went directly to Dirty Dicks for crabs!!! We had Dungeness Crabs, but I had "all you can eat" because I can eat at least 2 full orders and I did with 2 1/2 being my personal best! YUMMY.

On Friday we had the cleaners come do the carpets and I worked remotely and managed a conference call . But I did get to take my lunch break on the beach ( Myron and I did our hour walk on the beach) and wine time at 5pm as witnessed by these pix!

The next picture is of the Gerry Oliver Fishing Pier getting spruced up for the season. It looks like steamed shrimp and beers will be available rain or shine on the outdoor screened in porch!!! Woo hooo... All we need is Jim and Lynne, Paul, Sean, Jeff, Liz and others to join in the festivities.

SCUBA in Grand Cayman

Friends and Family!
We just got back from out family trip to Grand Cayman for snorkeling and SCUBA. Paul, Sean, Jeff, Liz, Chris, and Myron and I flew down for a wonderful week on the beautiful island of Grand Cayman. We had booked boat diving, snorkeling, Sting Ray City and a deep sea fishing trip.
There are no words to describe diving to 108 feet on a 1000 foot undersea wall with amazing coral and fish. There are no words to describe diving on the reefs and being flung by surges backwards and forwards through swim throughs. Barracuda, grouper, angel fish and parrot fish to name a few swam around us as if we didn't exist.
Many pictures will be uploaded so stay tuned . But here are a few to wet your appetite..

I am in a pink wet suit with plaits to keep the hair out of my mask.
Myron is in a red suit here at 100 feet deep! The abyss looms below.

Here are Paul and Jeff. Paul is with the underwater camera.

Here are Myron and Anna at 50 feet just hovering above the coral on the reef.
